What's New in a Sequel?
We at Playson didn't just slap a "2" on the title and call it a day. The sequel brings five notable upgrades that actually impact gameplay, from the expanded grid to three different bonus buy options.
Here's what changed from the original Coin Strike.
Bigger Max Win
The original Coin Strike capped out at 5,150x your stake, which was decent but not spectacular. Coin Strike 2: Hold and Win nearly triples that to 15,000x maximum payout.
At a $1 bet, you're looking at a potential $15,000 win instead of $5,150 - a significant jump, huh?
New Grid
The 3x3 grid from the original has been expanded to 3x4.
This gives you more positions for coin symbols to land during the Hold and Win feature, although this extra row doesn't change the original 8 paylines.
Upgraded "Super Strike" Coin
Super Strike Coin is the new premium collector symbol that lands exclusively on reel 2. It triggers the Collect feature like regular Strike Coin does, but with added potential to activate the Strike Boost feature, which can award multipliers up to 10x, instant jackpots, or extra bonus coins.
Also, during the Hold and Win bonus, Super Strike Coins collect values from both regular Bonus Coins and Strike Coins in a single spin.
Strike Boost Feature
When a Super Strike Coin lands, it can randomly trigger the Strike Boost feature, awarding multipliers of 2x, 3x, 5x, 7x, or 10x that apply to the coin's value on that spin.
The feature can also instantly award one of the four jackpots or add 2, 3, or 5 extra Bonus Coins to the reels. Of course, there's no way to predict when Strike Boost activates - it's pure RNG, but During extended play, Strike Boost triggered roughly 1 in every 3-4 Super Strike Coin landings.
Bonus Buy Available
Three bonus buy options let you skip the base game entirely. The Super Strike option is the most expensive but includes a guaranteed Strike Boost activation, while the cheaper options give you varying levels of bonus potential.
Random Strike
The most basic bonus game. Costs 75x your bet and guarantees one or more Strike Coins to start the bonus round. At a $1 bet, you're paying $75 for a bonus game with standard Strike Coins but no guaranteed high-value symbols or Strike Boost.
High Strike
This option costs 200x your bet and guarantees one or more Strike Coins plus only high-value Bonus Coins during the round. The high-value restriction means you won't see the 1x or 2x coin values cluttering the reels - only 5x and above land during this bonus.
Super Strike
The premium option at 300x your bet starts the bonus with one or more Super Strike Coins and guarantees the Strike Boost feature will activate.
This is the only buy option that ensures you'll get the Strike Boost multipliers or jackpot shots, though the actual boost awarded is still random.
What Didn't Change in Coin Strike 2: Hold and Win
Developers at Playson studio kept the core mechanics that made the original popular. The Collect feature, Hold and Win structure, and jackpot system all work exactly like they did before - if it wasn't broken, we didn't touch it.
Collect Feature
Strike and Super Strike Coins on reel 2 collect all visible coin and jackpot values from reels 1 and 3. In the base game, collected values pay out instantly. During the bonus round, they add to your total instead.
Jackpots
Four fixed jackpots return: Mini, Minor, Major, and Grand (1,000x bet). Jackpot symbols can land randomly during any spin, and if a Strike or Super Strike Coin collects them, you win that jackpot immediately.
Bonus Game Mechanics
The Hold and Win feature triggers with Bonus Coins on reels 1 and 3 plus a Strike/Super Strike Coin on reel 2. You get 3 respins that reset each time a new coin lands. Strike and Super Strike Coins stick in position and keep collecting throughout the round.
Pile of Gold Feature
A random feature that can trigger on any base game spin with at least one Bonus Coin visible. When it activates, the game adds enough coins to force a bonus round trigger - basically a free entry into Hold and Win.

FAQ
The minimum bet is $0.20 per spin, with a maximum of $100.
The RTP is 95.65%, which sits slightly below the industry average of 96%.
No, Super Strike Coins only land on reel 2, same as regular Strike Coins.
There's no right answer to this. The 75x bonus buy might seem expensive, but natural triggers can take 100+ spins at higher bets, though natural triggers feel more rewarding when they hit.
Filling all positions guarantees you collect every coin value, but if most coins show low multipliers (1x-5x), your total can still be underwhelming.
